There's nothing wrong with a good exclamation point every now and again. Don't get me wrong. But there are so many other punctuation marks out there just waiting, wanting, nay, needing to be used. All I'm really saying is, don't discriminate. Think of the poor little semi-colon, for example. Everyone's so afraid to use him, but really, what does he want to do? Simply keep two thoughts together that should be together, but are too much for one sentence to handle. Is that such a bad thing? Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
We here at SUPERMEGADIO!!!!! encourage the use of all the punctuation you mention (and more). But, the truth is that the exclamation point is really what you need to ROCK!
